Men with a Call
Understanding Leadership and Responsibility
"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."-Genesis 1:27
From the foundation of the world, God designed men and women with distinct roles and responsibilities.
For men, their assignment is clear: to be a covering, a guide, a protector, and the head of their households.
Take Your Role Seriously
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself."-Ephesians 5:25–28
This passage highlights the importance of men taking their role seriously—loving and caring for their wives as Christ loves the church.
However, when men fail to understand and step up to their calling, chaos often ensues, opening the door for the enemy to lead.
A classic example of this is the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. In Genesis 3:6, Eve is tempted by the serpent and eats the forbidden fruit, while Adam, who was present, fails to intervene. This lack of leadership and responsibility leads to the fall of humanity.
"Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong."-1 Corinthians 16:13
Men are called to be vigilant, stand firm in their faith, and be strong in their leadership roles.
When men understand their calling and take it seriously, they become the leaders and protectors that God intended them to be.
If every man understood his calling and took it seriously, society would likely be transformed. Men would lead their households with love, care, and responsibility, providing a stable foundation for their families. Communities would flourish as men worked together to support and uplift one another.
The calling of man is clear: to lead, protect, and provide for their families.
By understanding and embracing this role, men can become the leaders that God intended them to be, bringing order and stability to their households and communities.
